Air Temperature Sensor ( Ambient / Intake ): Testing and Inspection

INSPECTION (On vehicle)
Check Intake Air Temperature (IAT) sensor for damage or poor connection.


INSPECTION (Off vehicle)
1. Place the sensor in water with a thermometer and heat the water gradually.




2. Measure the resistance of the sensor.




3. If not as specified, replace the intake air temperature sensor.
