Primary Coil Winding
Using an ohmmeter, measure the resistance of the primary coil winding. If it is not within the specification, replace the ignition coil.

Primary coil winding resistance at 20°C (68 °F) 0.72-0.88 Ohms




Secondary Coil Winding
Using an ohmmeter, measure the resistance of the secondary coil winding. If it is not within the specification, replace the ignition coil.

Secondary coil winding resistance at 20°C (68 °F) 10-30 k Ohms

Insulation of Case
Using a 500 V megger tester, measure the insulation resistance between the primary terminal and the case.

Resistance: 10 Meg Ohms min.
