FRONT DISC PLATE

Disc Plate Thickness




1. Measure the thickness of the disc plate.

Standard : 22 mm {0.8661 in}
Minimum : 20 mm {0.7874 in)
Minimum thickness after machining by using a brake lathe on-vehicle: 20.8 mm {0.8189 in}

2. If the thickness is not within the specification, replace the disc plate.

Caution: Runout will increase if the machining is performed off-vehicle.


Disc plate runout
1. Verify that there is no wheel bearing looseness.



2. Measure the runout at the outer edge of the contact surface of the disc pad.

Runout: 0.05 mm (0.002 in} max.

3. If the runout is not within the specification, repair or replace the disc plate.
