Pressure Feedback Exhaust Sensor: Testing and Inspection

Pressure Differential Chart:

DIFFERENTIAL PRESSURE FEEDBACK EGR SENSOR
Inspection
1. Connect Special Service Tool SST New Generation Star (NGS) tester to data link connector.
2. Warm-up engine and run it at idle.
3. Access DPFEGR PID and record value.

DPFEGR PID Values:

4. If not as specified, perform the following:
a. Turn ignition switch ON. Access DPFEGR PID on NGS.
b. Disconnect tubes from sensor.
c. Connect hand vacuum pump to intake manifold side (downstream side = smaller diameter) of DPFE sensor.
d. Apply vacuum and check PID. If not at specification, replace the differential pressure feedback EGR sensor.
