Using cruise set indicator light





NOTE: If the RESUME/ACCEL switch on the cruise control switch is malfunctioning, the cruise set indicator light will not give a correct indication when you inspect the system. Use the SST (NGS, self-diagnosis checker) to determine the cause of the malfunction.

1. Turn on the cruise control main switch.
2. Drive the vehicle.
3. Operate the cruise control system and verify that the deceleration, acceleration, coast, and cancel controls function by operating each of the cruise control switches.
4. Stop the vehicle and turn off engine.
5. Turn the ignition switch to ON.
6. Press and hold the RESUME/ACCEL switch.
7. Turn on the cruise control main switch while holding RESUME/ACCEL switch for at least 3 seconds.
8. The cruise set indicator light will illuminate for 3 seconds and then go out for at least 2 seconds.
9. If a diagnostic trouble code is indicated, inspect the corresponding system area.

Canceling condition detection mode
To cancel condition detection mode, do any one of the following:
^ Turn off the cruise control main switch.
^ Drive the vehicle at over 16 km/h {10 MPH}.
