With Manual Transaxle

NOTE The engine coolant temperature sensor is at the rear of the engine.

Coolant Temperature Sensor Connection:

1. Disconnect the engine coolant temperature sensor connector.
2. Remove the engine coolant temperature sensor.

Coolant Temperature Sensor Testing:

INSPECTION
1. Place the sensor in water with a thermometer and heat the water gradually.
2. Measure the resistance of the sensor.

Coolant Temperature Sensor Specifications:

3. If not as specified, replace the engine coolant temperature sensor.

Coolant Temperature Sensor:

INSTALLATION
1. Install a new washer and the engine coolant temperature sensor.

Tightening torque: 15.7-23.5 Nm (1.6-2.4 kgf/m., 11.6-17.3 ft.lbs.)

2. Connect the engine coolant temperature sensor connector.
3. Start the engine and check for coolant leakage.
