With Automatic Transaxle

TESTING
1. Start the engine and let it idle.
2. Turn the A/C switch and the fan switch ON.
3. Fully open the throttle valve. Then, 3-6 seconds after, check if the operation sound of the A/C compressor electromagnetic clutch is heard.
4. Turn the A/C switch and the fan switch OFF.
5. If the operation sound is not heard, do as follows.




(1) Connect the Special Service Tool (SST) New Generation Star (NGS) tester to the data link connector 2.
(2 Select "Active command modes".
Select "Output test modes".
Select "All ON" mode.
Press "Start".
(3) Turn the A/C relay form OFF to ON, and verify that operation sound is heard from A/C relay.
I. If the operation sound is heard, check the following.
- PCM terminal voltage
- Throttle position sensor TVO signal
II. If the operation sound is not heard, check the following.
- A/C relay
- Open circuit in wiring harnesses and connectors (Main relay - A/C relay - Powertrain Control Module (PCM) terminal 69)
