With Automatic Transaxle




1. Start and warm up the engine to the normal operating temperature.
2. Let the engine idle.
3. Disconnect the vacuum hose between the purge solenoid valve and the charcoal canister.
4. Put a finger to the purge solenoid valve and verify that there is no vacuum applied.
5. If there is vacuum, do as follows.
- Perform purge solenoid valve Powertrain Control Module (PCM) terminal voltage test.
- Check wiring between purge solenoid valve and PCM terminal 67 (short circuit).
- Check the purge solenoid valve. Check for loose or damaged vacuum hose.
