With Automatic Transaxle (ATX)

PREPARATION
1. Warm up the engine to normal operating temperature.
2. Shift the selector lever to P range.
3. Turn off all electrical loads.
- Headlight
- Blower
- Rear window defroster
- Power steering

4. Wait until the cooling fan stops.




5. Connect the Special Service Tools (SST)s New Generation Star (NGS) tester to the data link connector (DLC2) and select the "PID/DATA MONITOR AND RECORD" function.

6. Connect a timing light to the engine.




7. Verify that the ignition timing is within specification.

Specification: 6 - 18° BTDC

8. If the ignition timing is not within specification, check the installation of distributor.
