Removal / Installation
1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
WARNING: Handling the air bag module improperly can accidently deploy the air bag, which may seriously injure you. Read AIR BAG SYSTEM SERVICE WARNINGS, before handling the air bag module.
2. Remove in the order shown in the figure. To remove the dashboard, remove the A-pillar trim and the selector lever.
3. Install in the reverse order of removal.
Removal note
Rear console box
Remove the rear console box by using a screwdriver which has been wrapped in tape as shown in the figure
Brake boot
Remove the brake boot installation screws.
Center panel
Pull the center panel forward to disengage the clips.
Rear console
Remove the rear console installation screws and nuts.
Meter hood
1. Tilt the steering shaft down.
2. Remove the cap and panel light control switch.
3. Remove the meter hood installation screws.
4. Pull the meter hood forward to disengage the clips.
Steering shaft
Remove the steering shaft installation bolts.
Side panel
Pull the side panel forward to disengage the clips.
Dashboard
1. Pull the dashboard up and forward to remove it.
2. Disconnect the harness connectors.
Glove compartment
1. Remove the passenger side panel.
2. Remove the glove compartment installation screw by using a long screwdriver as shown in the figure.
Installation note Dashboard
Set the dashboard installation pin into its hole as shown.
