DISASSEMBLY/ASSEMBLY

NOTE: The following procedure is for replacement of the O-rings, the shaft, and the front pump body only. Replace the oil pump component as other repairs are necessary.

1. Disassemble in the order indicated in the table.
2. Assemble in the reverse order of disassembly.

Oil Pump Disassembly Note





Install the pump to the Special Service Tool (SST) and hold the pump and SST in a vise.

Shaft And Bearing Disassembly Note (20)





Disassemble the shaft and bearing by using a press.

Oil Seal Assembly Note (21)





Tap the oil seal into the front pump body by using the SST.

Shaft And Bearing Assembly Note (20)





Press the shaft and bearing into the front pump body by using the SST.

Blade Assembly Note (15)





Place the blades in the rotor with the rounded edges contacting the cam.

Cam Ring Assembly Note (13)





Install the cam ring in the front pump body with the mark facing upward.

Rear Pump Body Assembly Note (10)
After installing the rear pump body, Manually turn the shaft to verify that it rotates smoothly.
