Distributor: Testing and Inspection

Secondary Coil Winding Test

1. Disconnect The Distributor 3-pin Connector.
2. Remove the distributor cap.




3. Measure the resistance between terminal A and the body (ignition coil terminal) by using an ohmmeter.

Specification: 20-31 k Ohms[20°C{68°F}]

4. If Not As Specified, Replace The Distributor.

Primary Coil Winding Test

1. Disconnect the distributor 3-pin connector.
2. Measure the resistance between terminals A and B by using an ohmmeter.





Specification: 0.49-74 Ohms[20°C{68°F}]

3. If not as specified, replace the distributor.
