MAIN BEARING CAP BOLT
Length 84.7 - 85.3 mm {3.34 - 3.35 inch}
Maximum 85.5 mm {3.37 inch}

NOTE: Measure each bolt length. Replace if necessary.


MAIN BEARING CAP BOLT
Torque 17.2 - 22.0 Nm {1.75 - 2.25 kgf/m, 12.7 - 16.2 ft. lbs.}




NOTE: Tighten the bolts in two or three steps in the order shown in accompanying image.

Continue with the following steps:



a. Put a paint mark on each bolt head.
b. Using this mark as a reference, tighten the bolts by turning each 85° - 95° in the sequence.
c. Further tighten each bolt by turning another 40° - 60°.
d. Verify that the crankshaft rotates smoothly by hand.
