Auxiliary Power Outlet: Service and Repair

NOTE: If the socket is removed, replace the cap with a new one. Do not reuse the cap.

1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
2. Remove the rear console.




3. Remove in the order indicated in the table.
4. Install in the reverse order of removal.

NOTE: Two holes (protrusions on the ring) are located opposite each other on the socket.




1. While pushing the protrusion through one of the holes using a tape-wrapped flathead screwdriver, push the back of the socket to disengage the cap from the socket.




2. While pushing the back of the socket, disengage the other side in the same procedure to pull the socket out of the rear console.
