Transmission Speed Sensor: Service and Repair

TURBINE SHAFT SPEED SENSOR REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [LA4A-EL]
1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
2. Remove the wheel and tire. (driver's side.)
3. Remove the splash shield.
4. Disconnect the turbine shaft speed sensor connector.
5. Remove the turbine shaft speed sensor.
6. Apply ATF to a new O-ring and install it on a new turbine shaft speed sensor.
7. Install the turbine shaft speed sensor.
Tightening torque
12.1 - 13.9 Nm (123 - 142 kgf.cm, 107 - 123 inch lbs.)
8. Connect the turbine shaft speed sensor connector.
9. Install the splash shield.
10. Install the wheel and tire. (driver's side)
11. Connect the negative battery cable.
