Transmission Temperature Sensor/Switch: Service and Repair

TRANSAXLE FLUID TEMPERATURE (TFT) SENSOR REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [GF4A-EL]

Warning When the transaxle and ATF are hot, they can badly burn. Turn off the engine and wait until they are cool before performing this procedure.

1. Remove the control valve body cover.





2. Disconnect the TFT sensor connector.
3. Remove the TFT sensor.
4. Install a TFT sensor.
Tightening torque
6.5 - 7.8 Nm (66 - 88 kgf.cm, 58 - 69 inch lbs.)
5. Connect the TFT sensor connector.
6. Install the control valve body cover.
7. Carry out the line pressure test.
