Passive Anti-Theft System (PATS) Module

1. Remove the passenger-side air bag.




2. Remove the passive anti-theft system (PATS) module and bracket.
1. Remove the bolts (1).
2. Disconnect the electrical connector (2).




3. Release the retainer tabs and remove the PATS module from the bracket.

NOTE:
- Prior to starting the vehicle, check for PATS DTCs. Refer to PASSIVE ANTI-THEFT SYSTEM DIAGNOSIS.
- When the PATS module is replaced, both ignition keys must be relearned and stored in memory. Insert each key in the ignition and turn to on for automatic programming.
- The PATS module must be reconfigured after replacement. Refer to PASSIVE ANTI-THEFT SYSTEM DIAGNOSIS.

4. Install in reverse order of removal.
