Receiver Dryer: Service and Repair
1. Recover the refrigerant; refer to REFRIGERANT SYSTEM TESTS.2. Disconnect the A/C cycling switch connector.
3. Remove the A/C cycling switch.
4. Disconnect manifold and tube assembly from the receiver/drier; refer to the Spring Lock Couplings Disconnect and Connect general procedure in SPRING LOCK COUPLING.
CAUTION: To prevent damage to the fitting and the tube, use a backup wrench when removing the receiver/drier.
5. Disconnect the receiver/drier from the evaporator core.
6. Remove the clamp screw and remove the receiver/drier.
CAUTION: To prevent damage to the fitting and the tube, use a backup wrench when installing the receiver/drier.
7. Install in the reverse order of removal.
1. Lubricate the O-ring seal with refrigerant oil.
