Ignition Coil Pack: Service and Repair

NOTE: Do not pull on the spark plug wire set.

1. Squeeze the locking tabs and remove the spark plug wires from the ignition coils.
2. Disconnect the engine control sensor wiring electrical connector from the ignition coils.




3. Remove the eight bolts. Remove the ignition coils.

NOTE: Wipe the coil towers with a clean cloth dampened with soap and water. Remove any soap film and dry with compressed air. Inspect for cracks, carbon tracking and dirt.

4. Install in reverse order of removal.

Tightening torque
5 - 7 Nm { 51 - 71 kg.cm, 44 - 62 lb.lbf }
