Throttle Position Sensor: Service and Repair

1. Disconnect negative battery cable.
2. Disconnect the throttle position (TP) sensor connector.




3. Remove TP sensor screws.
4. Remove the TP sensor.




5. Install in reverse order of removal.

NOTE:
- Failure to install the throttle position sensor in this manner may result in excessive idle speeds.
- Install the throttle position sensor by sliding the rotary tangs into position over the throttle shaft blade, then rotate the throttle position sensor.

Tightening torque
3 - 4 Nm { 31 - 41 kg.cm, 28 - 35 in.lb }
