Engine Wiring Harness

Removal Note
1. Remove the air cleaner outlet tube.
2. Disconnect the vacuum line.
3. Disconnect the two transmission harness electrical connectors.
4. Disconnect the two heated oxygen sensor electrical connectors.




5. Disconnect the 42-pin connector.
6. Disconnect the PCM connector.
7. Disconnect the engine wiring harness from the:
1. IAC valve.
2. DPFE sensor.
3. EGR vacuum regulator solenoid.

8. Disconnect the vacuum line from:
1. EGR vacuum regulator solenoid.
2. Upper intake manifold.
3. EGR valve.

9. Disconnect the crankcase ventilation tube.
10. Disconnect the DPFE sensor vacuum lines.
11. Disconnect the TP sensor.
12. Disconnect the engine wiring harness from the radio ignition interference capacitor and the ignition coil connectors.
13. Disconnect the spark plug wires from the ignition coil pack.




14. Remove the upper intake manifold nuts.




15. Remove the bracket.
16. Remove the upper intake manifold.
17. Inspect the intake manifold upper gasket. Replace the intake manifold upper gasket as necessary.
18. Disconnect the CKP sensor.
19. Disconnect the engine wiring harness from the:
1. ECT sensor.
2. Water temperature indicator sender unit.

20. Disconnect the fuel injectors.
21. Disconnect the camshaft synchronizer.
22. Disconnect the oil pressure switch.




23. Remove the engine wiring harness.

Installation Note
1. Position the engine wiring harness.
2. Connect the oil pressure switch.
3. Connect the camshaft synchronizer.
4. Connect the fuel injectors.
5. Connect the two transmission harness electrical connectors.
6. Connect the two heated oxygen sensor electrical connectors.
7. Connect the engine wiring harness to the:
1. ECT sensor.
2. Water temperature indicator sender unit.

8. Connect the CKP sensor.
9. Install the upper intake manifold gasket.
10. Install the upper intake manifold.




11. Position the fuel line bracket.




12. Install the upper intake manifold nuts in the sequence shown.

13. Connect the spark plug wires.
14. Connect the engine wiring harness to the:
1. radio ignition interference capacitor.
2. ignition coil.

15. Connect the six spark plug wires.
16. Connect the TP sensor.
17. Connect the DPFE sensor vacuum lines.
18. Connect the crankcase ventilation tube.
19. Connect the vacuum lines to:
1. EGR vacuum regulator solenoid.
2. Upper intake manifold.
3. EGR valve.

20. Connect the engine wiring harness to:
1. IAC valve.
2. DPFE sensor.
3. EGR vacuum regulator solenoid.

21. Connect the vacuum line.
22. Install the air cleaner outlet tube.




23. Connect the 42-pin connector.




24. Connect the PCM connector.
