Coolant Temperature Sensor / Switch HVAC: Testing and Inspection
WATER TEMPERATURE SENSOR INSPECTION 1.
Remove the water temperature sensor.
2.
Measure the temperature around the water temperature sensor.
3.
Measure the resistance between terminals A and B of the water temperature sensor connector (male).

If the resistance is not in the shaded zone indicated in the graph, replace the water temperature sensor.
