EGR Valve: Testing and Inspection
1.
Start the engine and let it idle.
2.
Connect a
vacuum pump as shown in the figure and apply vacuum.
3.
Verify that the engine runs roughly or stalls at more than the specified vacuum.

If not as specified, replace the
EGR valve.
Specification:
-12.0 - -14.7 kPa {-90 - -110 mmHg, -3.55 - -4.33 inHg}
