At SGC Terminal Inspection

1. Disconnect the CMP sensor connector.
2. Visually inspect the connecting condition of the male and female terminals.
3. Turn the ignition switch to ON.




4. Measure the terminal voltage between the CMP sensor connector (4-pin) terminal B and body ground using a voltmeter.
- If not as specified, inspect the related wiring harnesses for open (including the relay and fuse).

Terminal voltage: Battery Positive Voltage

5. Measure the terminal voltage between the distributor connector (4-pin) terminal C and body ground using a voltmeter.
- If not as specified, inspect the related wiring harness for open.

Terminal voltage: Approx. 5.0 V

6. Turn the ignition switch to OFF.
7. Verify the continuity between the CMP sensor connector (4-pin) terminal A and body ground using an ohmmeter.
- If there is no continuity, inspect the related wiring harnesses for open.
8. Connect the CMP sensor connector.
9. Remove the CMP sensor cap and visually verify that there is no damage in rotor.
- If it is not normal, inspect the CMP sensor.
10. Install the CMP sensor cap.
