Transmission Position Sensor/Switch: Adjustments

TRANSAXLE RANGE (TR) SWITCH ADJUSTMENT [LJ4A-EL]
1. Remove the selector rod from the manual shaft lever.
2. Move the manual shaft to the N position.
3. Loosen the TR switch mounting bolts.





4. Align the holes of the TR switch and the manual shaft lever by inserting a pin with an outer diameter of approximately 4.0 mm (0.157 inch).





5. Tighten the TR switch mounting bolts and remove the pin.
Tightening torque
2.5 - 3.9 Nm (25 - 40 kgf.cm, 22 - 34 inch lbs.)
6. Inspect the continuity of the TR switch.
- If not as specified, replace the TR switch.





7. Install the selector rod to the manual shaft lever.
