Control Module: Service and Repair

TRANSAXLE CONTROL MODULE (TCM) REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [LJ4A-EL]
1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
2. Remove the ABS control module.
3. Disconnect the TCM connector.

4. Remove the nuts shown in the figure, and remove the TCM.
5. Install the new TCM.
Tightening torque
19 - 25 Nm (1.9 - 2.6 kgf.m, 14 - 18 ft. lbs.)
6. Connect the TCM connector.
7. Install the ABS control module.
8. Connect the negative battery cable.
