Catalytic Converter: Service and Repair

EXHAUST SYSTEM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [FS]

WARNING: When the engine and exhaust system are hot, they can badly burn. Turn off the engine and wait until they are cool before removing or installing the exhaust system.

1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
2. Remove in the order indicated in the table.




3. Install in the reverse order of removal.

WARNING: When the engine and exhaust system are hot, they can badly burn. Turn off the engine and wait until they are cool before removing or installing the exhaust system.

1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
2. Remove in the order indicated in the table.




3. Install in the reverse order of removal.




Heated Oxygen Sensor (Front RH), Heated Oxygen Sensor (Front LH) Removal Note
1. Use the SST to remove the HO2S.




Warm Up Three Way Catalytic Converter (RH), Warm Up Three Way Catalytic Converter (LH) installation Note
1. Tighten the bolts and nuts in the order shown.




Heated Oxygen Sensor (Front RH), Heated Oxygen Sensor (Front LH) Installation Note
1. Use the SST to install the HO2S.
