Alternator: Service and Repair

NOTE: The 3.0L engine is shown, the 2.5L engine is similar.

1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
2. Remove the drive belt.




3. Remove the nut and disconnect the electrical connectors.




4. Remove the wire harness-to-generator pin-type retainer.




5. Remove the bolts and the generator.
6. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
