Engine - Coolant Temperature Sensor/Switch: Service and Repair

ENGINE COOLANT TEMPERATURE (ECT) SENSOR REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

1. Drain the engine coolant.




2. Disconnect the ECT sensor connector.

WARNING: When the engine is hot, it can badly burn. Turn oft the engine and wait until it is cool before removing the ECT sensor.

3. Remove the ECT sensor.
4. Replace the gasket.
5. Install in the reverse order of removal.
6. Refill the engine coolant.
