Cruise Control Servo Cable: Service and Repair

ACTUATOR CABLE REMOVAL




1. Squeeze the hooks of the grommet, and remove the actuator cable.




2. Remove the end fitting of the actuator cable from the arm of the throttle.




3. Squeeze the hooks of the grommet, and remove it from the cable bracket.




4. Remove the actuator cable from the clip.
5. Remove the actuator cable.

ACTUATOR CABLE INSTALLATION




1. Install the grommet to the cable bracket.
2. Install the end fitting of the actuator to the arm of the throttle.




3. Slide the lock lever in the direction shown by the arrow to unlock the adjuster.




4. Turn the ratchet ring to release lock in the direction shown by the arrow.




5. Install the actuator cable to the clip.




6. Insert the grommet into the actuator bracket.




7. To adjust the tree play, push or pull the actuator cable directly behind the spring two times.




8. Turn the ratchet ring in the direction shown by the arrow to lock it.




9. Slide the lock lever in the direction shown by the arrow to lock the adjuster.
