Catalytic Converter: Service and Repair

Removal and Installation

1. Raise and support the vehicle.




2. Remove and discard the nuts.
1. Discard the gasket.




3. Remove the U-bolt, disconnect the catalytic converter from the hanger and remove the converter.

4. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
1. Install a new gasket.
2. Install new nuts.
