Alternator: Service and Repair

1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
2. Remove the air cleaner outlet tube. See AIR CLEANER OUTLET PIPE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.
3. Remove the accessory drive belt. See DRIVE BELT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.




4. Remove the bolts and position the generator aside.




5. Remove the generator.
1. Remove the nut and disconnect the electrical connectors.

6. Install in reverse order of removal.
