Inspection and Verification

1. Verify the customer concern.
2. Visually inspect for obvious signs of electrical damage.

Electrical
I/P fuse panel fuse 17 (20 A)
- Damaged wiring harness
- Loose or corroded connectors

3. If the concern remains after the inspection, connect WDS or equivalent Tester to the Data Link Connector (DLC), located beneath the instrument panel, and select the vehicle to be tested from WDS or equivalent Tester menu. If WDS or equivalent Tester does not communicate with the vehicle:
1. Check that the program card is properly installed.
2. Check the connections to the vehicle.
3. Check the ignition switch position is in RUN.

If WDS or equivalent Tester still does not communicate with the vehicle, see NO MODULE/NETWORK COMMUNICATION - NO POWER TO THE WDS TESTER THROUGH THE DLC.
