Alternator: Service and Repair

1. Disconnect the negative battery cable. See BATTERY DISCONNECT.
2. Remove the air cleaner outlet tube.
3. Remove the accessory drive belt.




4. Remove the nut and disconnect the electrical connectors.
5. Remove the wiring harness-to-generator pin-type retainer.




6. Remove the stud bolt, the bolts and the generator.
7. Install in reverse order of removal.
