Leak Detection Pump: Service and Repair

EVAPORATIVE EMISSION (EVAP) SYSTEM LEAK DETECTION PUMP REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
2. Remove the fuel tank side of EVAP control system component. (See EVAPORATIVE EMISSION (EVAP) CONTROL SYSTEM COMPONENT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)




3. Remove in the order indicated below.
1. Clamp
2. Evaporative hose
(See Evaporative Hose Installation Note)
3. EVAP system leak detection pump

4. Install in the reverse order of removal.

Evaporative Hose Installation Note
1. Completely insert the evaporative hose into the EVAP system leak detection pump.
