CRANKSHAFT POSITION (CKP) SENSOR INSPECTION

Resistance




1. Disconnect the CKP sensor connector.
2. Measure the resistance between terminals A and B using an ohmmeter.
- If not as specified, replace the CKP sensor.

Specification: 520 - 580 Ohms [20 °C {68 °F}]

Air Gap




1. Verify that the CKP sensor is installed correctly and securely
2. Measure the air gap between the crankshaft pulley and the CKP sensor using a feeler gauge.
- If not as specified, replace the crankshaft pulley or the CKP sensor.

Specification: 0.5 - 1.5 mm {0.020 - 0.059 in}
