To Reprogram Additional Keys With NGS (version 9.0 card)

NOTE: This procedure is used when a customer needs keys programmed and DOES NOT have two programmed keys available during key programming.

NOTE: This procedure requires one un-programmed PATS key with correct cut.

1. Using the NGS Tester (9.0 version card) connected to the OBD II connector (DLC II) and the new (un-programmed) key in the ignition in the ON position:

Select:
- Diagnostic Data Link (press Trigger).
- PCM - Powertrain Control Module (press Trigger).
- Function Tests (press Trigger).
- Enter Security Access (press Trigger) (10 minute delay to access next step).
- Select "Ignition key code program" (press Trigger). Screen displays "Process has been completed", press Cancel.

2. Turn key OFF (leave key in ignition) and disconnect WDS or equivalent Tester from OBD II connector.

3. Attempt to start the engine with the new key to verify key is working.
- If the vehicle fails to crank, leave key ON for 20 seconds, turn OFF and remove. Insert the first programmed key into the ignition and start the vehicle. Turn key OFF and remove. Now try the newly programmed key. Turn ON ignition (security light should come on steady for three seconds and go off. Start the vehicle.

NOTE: If the security light flashes rapidly and the vehicle fails to crank, turn key OFF then back to ON. Security light should stay on steadily. Now start the engine. Security light should go out in three seconds. Key is now programmed

4. Program additional keys by following "To Program Keys Without WDS or WDS Tester". Refer to KEY PROGRAMMING USING TWO PROGRAMMED KEYS.
