Shift Cable: Adjustments

GEARSHIFT CABLE ADJUSTMENT





Note:
^ Make sure that the gearshift lever is in neutral and the parking brake is set.

1. If necessary, remove the center console trim and gearshift lever boot.
1. Remove the gearshift lever knob.
2. Remove the center console trim and gearshift lever boot.





2. Release the gearshift cable adjuster lock.





3. Release the gearshift cable adjuster.





Note:
^ The transaxle is in neutral when the angle between the gearshift lever and the transaxle shift lever is 90 degrees.

4. Set the transaxle in neutral.

^ The transaxle is in neutral when the angle between the gearshift lever and the transaxle shift lever is 90 degrees.

5. Push in the adjuster and secure the lock.





6. If necessary, install the center console trim, the gearshift lever boot assembly and the gearshift lever knob.
