EGR Valve: Service and Repair

EGR VALVE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
2. Disconnect the EGR valve connector.

3. Remove in the order indicated in the table.
4. Install in the reverse order of removal.

Water Hose Removal Note
- Drain the engine coolant. (See ENGINE COOLANT REPLACEMENT.)

EGR Valve Removal Note
1. Remove the air hose. (See INTAKE-AIR SYSTEM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION)
2. Remove the upper radiator hose. (See RADIATOR REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)
