Front Bumper: Service and Repair

BUMPER FRONT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

NOTE: The front bumper is unique for the 1999 model year and must not be substituted with bumpers from prior model years.

1. If equipped, remove the six tow hook bolts (1) and tow hooks (2).






2. If equipped, disconnect the fog lamp electrical connectors.
3. If equipped, disconnect the engine block heater plug and position aside.
4. Remove the front bumper bracket to frame nuts (1).
5. Remove the bumper (2).






6. Install in reverse order of removal.

Tightening torque: 60-80 N-m (6.1-8.2 Kgf-cm, 44-59 ft-lbf).
