Housing Assembly HVAC: Service and Repair

PLENUM CHAMBER REMOVAL / INSTALLATION

1. Remove the instrument panel.
2. Drain the radiator, see ENGINE COOLANT REPLACEMENT.
3. Disconnect the heater hoses from the heater/evaporator core.
4. Remove the heater/evaporator core housing.
5. Remove the nuts.

Tighting torque: 3.4 - 4.8 N.m {35 - 49 kgf.cm, 31 - 42 in.lbf}.

6. Remove the plenum chamber.
7. To install, reverse the removal procedure,
- Lubricate the coolant hoses with coolant hose lubricant or plain water if needed.
