Timing Chain: Service and Repair

TIMING CHAIN REMOVAL / INSTALLATION - 3.01L
1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
2. Remove the front cover.





3. Rotate the crankshaft and align the timing marks.





4. Remove the bolt.





5. Remove the timing chain, camshaft sprocket and crankshaft sprocket as an assembly.





6. Install in the reverse order of removal.

Timing Chain Installation
1. Align the timing marks.
2. Install the timing chain, camshaft sprocket and crankshaft sprocket as an assembly.





3. Install the bolt.
