Attachment II - Procedures and Installation of Label

A. VEHICLE INSPECTION PROCEDURE

1. Verify that the vehicle is within the following ranges:

^ 2004 B-Series Truck (Automatic Transmission vehicles only) VIN Range: (4F4*R****4TM00003-M13059)

^ 2005 B-Series Truck (Automatic Transmission vehicles only) VIN Range: (4F4*R****5PM00006-M02299)

- If the vehicle is within the above range, proceed to step 2.

- If the vehicle is not within the above range, return the vehicle to the customer or inventory.





2. Perform a Warranty Vehicle Inquiry using your eMDCS System and inspect vehicle for an Authorized Modification Label SSP 63 attached to the vehicle's hood or bulkhead. Refer to eMDCS System - Warranty Vehicle Inquiry Results table.

NOTE:
Verify SSP number as the vehicle may have multiple SSPs.





B. REPAIR PROCEDURE

1. Prepare the transmission fluid additive bottle.

a. Shake bottle before use.

b. Remove cap from bottle, remove foil seal from inside cap and reinstall cap.

c. Snip off tip of cap above upper rib as shown.

d. Securely install supplied hose onto end of cap.

2. With engine off, remove transmission fluid level indicator (dipstick).

3. Add transmission fluid additive.

a. Position open end of hose into dipstick tube.

b. Squeeze the bottle to empty entire contents of bottle into transmission.





c. Remove and discard empty bottle and hose.

4. Reinstall transmission fluid level indicator (dipstick).

5. Release vehicle.

C. AUTHORIZED MODIFICATION LABEL INSTALLATION

Complete an "Authorized Modification Label" with the SSP number written on the sticker and affix it to the driver's door. Refer back to the illustration under "A. VEHICLE INSPECTION PROCEDURE".
