Coolant Temperature Sensor/Switch (For Computer): Service and Repair

ENGINE COOLANT TEMPERATURE (ECT) SENSOR

Removal and Installation
1. Partially drain the cooling system. See COOLING SYSTEM DRAINING, FILLING AND BLEEDING.
2. Remove the air cleaner outlet pipe..
3. Disconnect the ECT sensor electrical connector.




4. Remove the ECT sensor.
- Pull upward on the locking tab.
- Rotate the sensor counterclockwise and remove.

5. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
