Air Flow Meter/Sensor: Service and Repair

MASS AIR FLOW (MAF) SENSOR

CAUTION: The mass air flow (MAP) sensor electronics module and body are calibrated as a unit and must be serviced as a unit. Do not tamper with the sensing elements located in the air flow bypass of the MAF body.

Removal and Installation
1. Remove the air cleaner outlet tube. See AIR CLEANER OUTLET PIPE.




2. Disconnect the mass air flow (MAF/IAT) - sensor electrical connector.




3. Remove the four nuts and the MAF/IAT sensor.
4. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
