EGR Valve: Service and Repair

EXHAUST GAS RECIRCULATION (EGR) VALVE

Removal and Installation




1. Disconnect the EGR valve.
1. Disconnect the EGR vacuum tube fitting.
2. Disconnect the EGR tube upper fitting.




2. Remove the bolts and remove the EGR valve.

NOTE:
- Remove and discard the EGR valve gasket.
- The EGR valve sealing surfaces are soft metals.

3. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
- Carefully clean all sealing surfaces and install a new EGR valve gasket.
