POWERTRAIN CONTROL MODULE (PCM)

Removal and Installation

NOTE: When the PCM is replaced, the new PCM must be programmed with the old module's configuration information. See POWERTRAIN CONTROL MODULE (PCM) PROGRAMMING - WDS.

1. Disconnect the battery ground cable. See BATTERY DISCONNECT.
2. Remove the powertrain control module (PCM) cover.
- Loosen the bolt and disconnect the electrical connector.
- Remove the nuts and the cover.

3. Remove the PCM.
4. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
