Pinpoint Test 3
PINPOINT TEST 3: A SINGLE MIRROR DOES NOT FUNCTION WITH SWITCH LOGICNormal Operation
Under normal operation, the exterior mirror control switch uses circuit (DG), (R), (DL) or (V) to control mirror movement.
- When power is received through circuit (DG)/(R) and grounded through (Y/B), LH/RH exterior will operate LEFT.
- When ground is received through circuit (DG)/(R) and powered through (Y/B), LH/RH exterior will operate RIGHT.
- When power is received through circuit (DL)/(V) and grounded through (Y/B), LH/RH exterior will operate UP.
- When ground is received through circuit (DL)/(V) and powered through (Y/B), LH/RH exterior will operate DOWN.
Possible Causes
- An open in circuit (DL), (V), (DG) or (R) between the exterior mirror control switch and either the LH or RH exterior rear view mirror
- Inoperative exterior mirror control switch
- Inoperative exterior mirror motor
