PINPOINT TEST 4: THE INTERMITTENT WIPER SPEED DOES NOT OPERATE CORRECTLY

Normal Operation
Under normal operation, when any wiper mode except OFF is selected, the multifunction switch provides a combination of grounds to the smart junction box (SJB) through circuits (Y/R), (R), (DG) and (LB/O). The SJB interprets this ground combination to determine the desired wiper mode.

Possible Causes
- An open in circuit (Y/R), (R), (DG) or (LB/O)
- A short to ground in circuit (Y/R), (R), (DG) or (LB/O)
- A short together in circuit (Y/R), (R), (DG) or (LB/O)
- Multi-function switch
- SJB
