PINPOINT TEST 7: THE WASHER PUMP STAYS ON CONTINUOUSLYNormal Operation
Under normal operation, when the washer is selected, the multifunction switch provides ground to the smart junction box (SJB) through circuit (W/B). When the SJB commands the washer ON, ground is provided to the washer relay coil through circuit (T/R). When the washer relay is energized, voltage is sent from the washer relay to the washer motor through circuit (B/W).
Possible Causes
- A short to voltage in circuit (B/W)
- A short to ground in circuit (T/R) or (W/B)
- Washer relay
- Multifunction switch
- Smart junction box (SJB)
